Are Lash Extensions Safe & Do They Damage Natural Lashes?

Lash extensions are completely safe when applied by a certified lash technician using high-quality materials and proper techniques. Many people worry about whether eyelash extensions damage natural lashes, but when done correctly, they do not cause harm. Damage typically occurs due to poor application, overly heavy extensions, or improper aftercare—such as rubbing, pulling, or neglecting to clean your lashes.

To keep your natural lashes healthy, always choose a professional lash artist, follow proper lash aftercare, and avoid oil-based products that can weaken the adhesive. With the right care, you can enjoy long-lasting, beautiful lash extensions without compromising your natural lashes!

How Should I Prepare for My Lash Extension Appointment?

For the best results, follow these simple preparation tips:

  • Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face – Avoid mascara, eyeliner, foundation, and oil-based products, as they interfere with lash adhesive.

  • Avoid curling or strip lashes – These can alter your natural lash shape, making application harder.

  • Use the restroom beforehand – Your eyes will be closed for the entire appointment.

  • Plan for a 30-minute consultation – Before your full set, Jen, an experienced lash artist, will guide you through aftercare and help you choose the perfect lash style.

What to Expect During Your Appointment:

Jen provides a luxurious and relaxing lash experience with essential oils, cozy blankets, and calming music to help you unwind. Your eyes will be closed the entire time, allowing you to enjoy a lash nap or chat—whichever you prefer! The room is kept at an optimal cool temperature to ensure the lash adhesive sets properly for long-lasting retention.

A full set of lash extensions takes 2-3 hours, including your personalized consultation, depending on your natural lash density. Thanks to Jen’s expert technique and efficient application, she completes sets faster than most while ensuring stunning, flawless results that enhance your eyes beautifully.
